Hi! I'm
Miguel
Murillo

I'm a recent mechanical engineering graduate from the University of California Irvine with a passion for designing, building and solving real-world challenges. My journey has taken me through diverse projects, from autonomous rover teams to refining vehicle dynamics simulations for our Formula Racing team. I enjoy the entire process, whether it's CAD modeling, coding controls or testing new designs because it pushes me to combine technical expertise with creativity
Aerospace is my greatest inspiration. Ever since I first looked up at the stars, I’ve been driven by the idea of pushing humanity further, both physically and technologically. I believe engineering is not just about solving problems but about creating meaningful change and leaving an impact on the future.
Outside the lab and workshop, I spend a lot of time exploring on my own, often solo backpacking through remote trails where I can disconnect and focus. I’m also into stargazing and astrophotography, capturing night skies and learning how to process footage in DaVinci Resolve. When I’m not outdoors, I train in boxing and Muay Thai or play basketball. Whether it’s working alongside teammates, collaborating on new ideas or strategizing with my D&D party, I’m always looking for ways to grow and help those around me succeed.
I’m always looking to connect with people who are just as excited about innovation and discovery as I am!
