Hi! I'm
Miguel
Murillo

I'm a fourth year mechanical engineering student at UC Irvine with a passion for designing, building, and solving real-world challenges. My journey has taken me through diverse projects, from leading autonomous rover teams to refining vehicle dynamics simulations for our Formula Racing team. I enjoy the entire process, whether it's CAD modeling, coding controls, or testing new designs because it pushes me to combine technical expertise with creativity
Aerospace is my greatest inspiration. Ever since I first looked up at the stars, I’ve been driven by the idea of pushing humanity further, both physically and technologically. I believe engineering is not just about solving problems but about creating meaningful change and leaving an impact on the future.
Outside the lab and workshop, I’m an explorer at heart. You’ll find me hiking trails, stargazing on clear nights, building intricate Lego sets, or competing on the basketball court. I also enjoy painting, playing pickleball, following Formula 1 and the NBA, and diving into epic adventures in Dungeons & Dragons. My passion for learning, both inside and outside the classroom, pushes me to constantly evolve and support others along the way. Whether it’s mentoring teammates, collaborating on new ideas, or strategizing with my D&D party, I’m always looking for ways to grow and help those around me succeed.
I’m always looking to connect with people who are just as excited about innovation and discovery as I am!
